Job Overview

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Warehouse Assistant to join our dynamic logistics team. In this vital role, you will support daily warehouse operations, ensuring the efficient handling, storage, and movement of materials and products. Your enthusiasm and mechanical aptitude will help maintain a smooth workflow, uphold safety standards, and contribute to the overall success of our supply chain. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in warehouse management and logistics while working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

Assist with materials handling, including loading, unloading, and moving stock within the warehouse
Operate forklifts safely and efficiently to load and unload goods, adhering to all safety protocols
Use warehouse management systems to track inventory levels, update stock records, and manage order processing
Prepare shipments by picking, packing, and labeling products accurately for dispatch
Receive incoming shipments by inspecting deliveries for quality and accuracy, then stocking items appropriately
Conduct quality control checks to ensure products meet company standards before storage or shipment
Support inventory management through stock counting, replenishment, and organization of storage areas

Experience

Previous warehouse experience or familiarity with materials handling is preferred but not required; training will be provided
Hands-on experience with forklift operation is highly advantageous; certification is a plus
Knowledge of warehouse management systems or inventory software enhances efficiency in daily tasks
Mechanical knowledge or aptitude helps in troubleshooting equipment and understanding product handling processes
Ability to perform heavy lifting safely and work in physically demanding environments is essential
Strong attention to detail for quality control, order accuracy, and safety compliance
Prior experience in shipping & receiving processes supports seamless integration into the team
