Overview
We are seeking a friendly and efficient Barista/Café All-rounder to join our vibrant team. This role involves preparing and serving high-quality beverages, assisting with food preparation, and ensuring excellent customer service in a fast-paced café environment. The ideal candidate will be passionate about delivering a welcoming experience and maintaining high standards of food safety and hygiene. Previous experience in a similar role is advantageous but not essential, as training will be provided. This position offers an opportunity to develop your skills within a dynamic team dedicated to quality and customer satisfaction.

Responsibilities

Prepare and serve a variety of coffee beverages, teas, and other drinks in accordance with company standards.
Assist with food preparation, including light cooking and assembling of menu items.
Serve customers efficiently, taking orders accurately and handling payments using the POS system.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of workstations, including sanitising equipment and surfaces regularly.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards at all times.
Restock supplies as needed to ensure smooth café operations throughout shifts.
Provide friendly, attentive service to create a welcoming atmosphere for all customers.
Assist in opening and closing procedures as required, including cash handling and cleaning routines.

Qualifications

Previous barista experience is preferred but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
Knowledge of food safety standards and hygiene practices is desirable.
Experience in serving customers in a fast-paced environment is advantageous.
Basic maths skills for handling cash transactions accurately.
Strong organisational skills with excellent time management abilities to prioritise tasks effectively.
Ability to work well within a team and communicate clearly with colleagues and customers.
A positive attitude, reliability, and enthusiasm for delivering exceptional service are essential. This role offers an engaging environment where you can enhance your hospitality skills while contributing to a welcoming café experience for our valued customers.
