Full job description

Assistant General Manager – Front of House

We are looking for an experienced, motivated, and hands-on Assistant General Manager to join our team at The Plough Inn, Marsham.

This is a key leadership role within our Front of House team. You'll work closely with the General Manager to ensure exceptional customer service, high operational standards, and a positive working environment for the team.

What we're looking for:

Previous experience in a supervisory or management role within hospitality (essential).
A confident leader who can motivate, develop, and manage a Front of House team.
Excellent customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues professionally.
A proactive, organised, and hands-on approach to work.
Strong communication skills and the ability to lead by example.
Experience with hotel operations is advantageous but not essential.

The role:

Support the day-to-day running of the business.
Lead and supervise the Front of House team during service.
Ensure consistently high standards of customer service.
Assist with staff training, development, and performance.
Work closely with the kitchen and housekeeping teams to ensure smooth daily operations.
Help maintain high standards of cleanliness, presentation, and compliance.
