Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Telehandler Driver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating telehandlers safely and efficiently on-site, assisting with material handling and logistics. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in commercial driving and mechanical knowledge to contribute to large-scale projects in a dynamic environment. The position is paid and requires a commitment to safety and operational excellence.

Duties

Operate telehandlers to lift, move, and position materials across construction sites with precision and care
Assist with loading and unloading lorries, ensuring materials are transported safely and efficiently
Conduct routine inspections of the telehandler to ensure it is in good working condition, reporting any faults promptly
Collaborate with site managers and other team members to coordinate material delivery schedules
Maintain accurate records of equipment usage and material movement
Follow all health and safety protocols to minimise risks on-site

Qualifications

Proven experience in commercial driving, preferably within construction or logistics sectors
Mechanical knowledge sufficient to perform basic maintenance checks and troubleshoot minor issues
Valid certification for operating a telehandler (e.g., CPCS or NPORS)
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Commitment to safety standards and procedures at all times

Pay: £19.00-£21.00 per hour
