Full job description

HR & Administration Manage

We are seeking an experienced and proactive HR & Administration Manager to oversee our human resources and administrative functions. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing HR system and ensuring the smooth operation of administrative processes. This role requires strong management skills and excellent communication. The ideal applicant will possess proven leadership abilities.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Onboarding: Manage the full recruitment process, including advertising vacancies, screening CVs, arranging and conducting interviews, completing right-to-work checks, preparing offer letters and contracts, and coordinating employee onboarding and induction.
HR Administration: Maintain accurate and confidential employee records, process contractual changes, promotions, salary amendments and leavers, ensuring all HR documentation is up to date and compliant.
Employee Relations: Act as the first point of contact for HR queries, support managers with disciplinary and grievance processes, assist in resolving workplace issues, and provide practical day-to-day HR advice across the business.
Payroll Administration: Manage the monthly payroll process, maintain payroll records, process starters, leavers and contractual changes, prepare payroll reports, and liaise with our off-site payroll provider to ensure employees are paid accurately and on time.
Time & Attendance: Monitor attendance and working hours, maintain time and attendance systems, produce payroll reports, and investigate attendance-related matters where required.
Financial Administration: Process supplier payments, manage incoming invoices, maintain payment trackers, investigate outstanding invoices, and work closely with our off-site bookkeeping team to ensure smooth financial administration.
Compliance & HR: Support the development and implementation of HR policies, procedures and employment documentation, ensuring compliance with current employment legislation. You will benefit from strong director support, with our directors being retired solicitors who have a deep understanding of employment law. They will provide expert guidance on complex HR and legal matters, allowing you to confidently manage day-to-day HR administration while receiving support on more technical employment issues.
General Manager Support: Provide comprehensive administrative and operational support to the General Manager, assisting with projects, business administration, reporting and a wide variety of day-to-day operational tasks across the hotel.

£30k to £35k for a 45 hour contract per week depending on experience.
