Full job description

Job Summary
Shortridge Laundry has been providing linen-hire and laundry services to customers within the tourism and hospitality business since 1845.

We are seeking to recruit a reliable, hard-working, and enthusiastic delivery driver who cares about delivering great service to our customers.

The successful candidate will have a 7.5t UK driving license (no more than 3 penalty points), you must be presentable, organized, physically fit to be able to manually load and unload bags/cages.

You must have up to Date CPC and DQC cards.

Key tasks /main duties include:

Daily maintenance and safety checks.

Driving company vehicles in a safe and courteous manner.

Collecting and delivering multiple bags, in a friendly and courteous manner.

Loading and unloading your vehicle at the start and finish of each shift.

All paperwork must be completed daily.

Company benefits include: 29 days annual leave ,company pension. Sick pay and death in service benefit.

Please note this is a manual job, a good level of health & fitness would be beneficial.

Job Type: Full-time

Ability to commute/relocate: Workington, Cumbria

Requirements

Driving 1 year (Preferred)
Valid Class 2 (Category C) driving licence with relevant experience in commercial driving
Proven delivery driver experience, ideally with multi-drop routes
Experience with flatbed vehicles is advantageous but not essential
Strong organisational skills to manage multiple deliveries efficiently
Excellent driving skills with a focus on safety and compliance with road regulations
Ability to work independently and handle physical tasks associated with loading and unloading goods
Good communication skills to liaise effectively with clients and team members

Pay: From £14.56 per hour
