Overview
We are seeking a dedicated Banquet Chef to join our culinary team at Holmes.

The ideal candidate will be passionate about food preparation and possess a strong background in cooking within a professional kitchen environment.

This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to high-quality banquet events, ensuring exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

Candidates should be organised, detail-oriented, and committed to maintaining the highest standards of food safety and hygiene.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes for banquet events in accordance with specified menus and standards
Assist in the planning and organisation of meal preparation for large-scale functions
Ensure all food is prepared fresh, presented attractively, and served promptly
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, adhering to food safety regulations
Monitor stock levels and assist with inventory management to ensure ingredients are available as needed
Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during busy service times
Follow all health and safety procedures to uphold a safe working environment
Serve food efficiently during events, ensuring guest satisfaction

Qualifications

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
Knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
Familiarity with food safety standards and hygiene practices
Previous experience working in a restaurant or catering environment is desirable
Ability to work efficiently under pressure during busy banquet events
Strong organisational skills with attention to detail
