Job Summary

Hours - 20 hours per week.

Term time only role 38 weeks - 4.59 weeks holiday - Equated Pay

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Catering Assistant to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for the food industry and a strong commitment to providing exceptional customer service. As a Catering Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our events run smoothly, delivering high-quality food service while maintaining the standards of fine dining.

Duties

Assist in the preparation and presentation of food for catering events, ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Set up and break down banquet tables, serving stations, and other event areas as required.
Provide excellent customer service by engaging with guests, taking orders, and serving food and beverages promptly.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely delivery of meals and maintain cleanliness in food preparation areas.
Support dietary needs by understanding menu items and assisting guests with their selections.
Maintain inventory of catering supplies and report any shortages or needs to management.
Uphold high standards of hospitality throughout all events, ensuring guest satisfaction at all times.

Skills

Previous experience in fine dining or restaurant settings is preferred.
Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with guests and team members.
Experience in food preparation, catering, or banquet services is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food handling practices and food safety regulations is essential.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
Experience as a dietary aide or barista is a plus, enhancing versatility within the role.
