Full job description

Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic After School Club Leader to deliver our award winning Create Club in September 2026. The ideal candidate will be passionate about art and child development, possess excellent organisational skills, and enjoy creating a safe, fun, and educational environment for young learners. This role offers an opportunity to make a positive impact on children’s after-school experiences while fostering their social and creative skills. Additional hours in the holidays and at weekends may be available.

Responsibilities

Deliver planned arts and crafts within a theme being followed nationally by The Creation Station.
Supervise children after-school for one hour, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
Manage weekly attendance and maintain accurate records of activities and behaviour.
Foster a welcoming environment that encourages children’s participation and social interaction.
Communicate effectively with The Creation Station Clitheroe & Ribble Valley regarding children's engagement and any concerns.
Access to a car is required to transport equipment and materials to and from the school.
Ensure compliance with Creation Station's health and safety regulations within the club environment. Paediatric first aid training will need to be completed along with safe-guarding training and an enhanced DBS.

Requirements

Experience in childcare, teaching, nannying, or similar roles working with children.
Valid driving licence.
Fluency in English.
Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage art or craft activities for 15 children aged 5 to 11 years.
Passion for working with children and creating a positive learning environment.
Ability to communicate effectively with children, parents, and team members.
Flexibility to work 2-3 days during after-school hours, between Monday and Thursday afternoons.
A caring attitude combined with patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for child engagement. This role provides an enriching environment where you can contribute to children's growth while developing your skills within a supportive team. We welcome applicants who are committed to fostering a nurturing space for young learners through engaging activities and responsible supervision.

Pay: From £15.00 per hour
