The Role - Care Assistant / Carer
As a Care Assistant, you will support residents live as independently and comfortably as possible in a warm, supportive environment. This is an ideal opportunity if you are looking for caring jobs, caring assistant roles or your first job in care in Scotland.
You’ll,
- Deliver high standards of personal care and meaningful activities in line with individual care plans (washing, dressing, toileting, mobility, nutrition).
- Support daily living and household tasks, promoting dignity, choice and independence.
- Encourage and assist residents to take part in social activities, hobbies and community outings.
- Help maintain excellent standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the home.
- Observe and promptly report any changes in residents’ health, wellbeing or concerns to the nurse or senior on duty.
- Use our electronic care systems to record accurate, up‑to‑date information.
- Build positive relationships with residents, families and visitors, helping them feel welcome and supported.
You will work as part of a close‑knit care team and will never be asked to do anything you are not trained and confident to do.
About You
You’ll,
- Have the right to live and work in the UK.
- Have a genuine interest in working with adults with a variety of health needs who need care and support.
- Have a kind, patient and reliable nature – and be caring and compassionate.
- Have great communication skills and a team‑focused approach.
We’d especially like to hear from you if,
- You have previous experience as a Care Assistant, Carer or similar role in a care home, hospital or home‑care setting.
- You have personal interest or personal experience in caring for people with a variety of health needs.
- You have knowledge of living with dementia care or working with adults with a variety of health needs.
If you are new to care jobs, full training will be provided. Enthusiasm and a commitment to high‑quality care are more important than experience!
