We are looking for a creative and organised Marketing & Content Manager to manage the day-to-day marketing activity across several of our brands.
The role will focus on social media management, content creation, graphic design, email marketing and direct-mail campaigns. You will be responsible for planning campaigns, creating the required content and graphics, publishing activity across the relevant channels, and monitoring performance.
Website design and search engine optimisation are not part of this role, as these areas are managed separately.
Key ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Management
- Manage the social media accounts for several different brands.
- Plan, create and publish content across Facebook, Instagram, LinkedIn and other relevant platforms.
- Develop separate content plans that reflect the audience, style and objectives of each brand.
- Write engaging captions, promotional messages and campaign content.
- Schedule posts and maintain a consistent posting calendar.
- Respond to comments and messages where required.
- Monitor performance and recommend improvements based on engagement and campaign results.
Graphic Design and Content Creation
- Create original graphics for social media posts, advertisements, email campaigns, printed mailers and promotional offers.
- Produce professional, brand-consistent designs without relying on an external designer for routine marketing materials.
- Resize and adapt creative content for different platforms and formats.
- Source and edit suitable photography, images and other visual assets.
- Maintain consistency across each brand’s colours, fonts, imagery and overall visual identity.
- Use design software such as Canva and Adobe Creative Cloud, or equivalent platforms.
Email Marketing
- Plan, create and send regular email campaigns for each brand.
- Design email layouts, promotional graphics and calls to action.
- Write clear and persuasive email copy.
- Manage mailing lists, customer segments and campaign schedules.
- Test subject lines, content and offers to improve open rates, click-through rates and conversions.
- Report on campaign performance and identify areas for improvement.
Direct Mail and Promotional Campaigns
- Develop offers, promotions and direct-mail campaigns.
- Create the written and visual content required for leaflets, letters, postcards and other printed materials.
- Coordinate campaign deadlines, approvals, printing and distribution.
- Ensure that all promotional activity is accurate and consistent with the relevant brand.
Marketing Planning and Reporting
- Maintain a marketing calendar covering all brands, campaigns and channels.
- Plan seasonal promotions and identify opportunities for new campaigns.
- Work with internal teams to understand commercial priorities, products and customer offers.
- Track campaign performance and provide regular, straightforward reports.
- Manage multiple projects and deadlines across several brands at the same time.
Skills and Experience
The successful candidate should have:
- Previous experience in social media, content marketing or a similar marketing role.
- Strong graphic-design skills and the ability to create professional marketing materials independently.
- Experience managing Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn business accounts.
- Experience using social-media scheduling and management tools.
- Experience creating and managing email-marketing campaigns.
- Strong copywriting and proofreading skills.
- A good understanding of branding and how to adapt content for different audiences.
- The ability to manage several brands, campaigns and deadlines simultaneously.
- Good attention to detail and a proactive, organised approach.
- Experience using Canva, Adobe Creative Cloud or similar graphic-design software.
Desirable Experience
- Experience working with several brands or business divisions.
- Experience with paid social-media advertising.
- Experience with email platforms such as Mailchimp, Klaviyo, HubSpot or similar.
- Experience preparing artwork for professional printing.
- Basic photography or video-editing skills.
- Experience analysing campaign data and preparing performance reports.
Not Included in the Role
The following responsibilities are handled separately and are not a core part of this position:
- Website design or development.
- Search engine optimisation.
- Technical website management.
