Job Summary

We are seeking a Newly Qualified Welder / Fabricator to join our dynamic, hardworking & friendly manufacturing team. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals who have recently completed their welding qualification and are eager to develop their skills further within a professional environment. The successful candidate will be responsible for performing various welding and fabrication tasks, contributing to the creation and assembly of high-quality metal components. A strong focus on safety, precision, and craftsmanship is essential to excel in this position. Ability to fit into our current valued team is absolutely vital.

Duties

Execute MIG welding and other welding techniques on different components.
Use hand tools, power tools, and specialised equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal parts.
Interpret technical drawings and specifications to ensure accurate fabrication.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated products, ensuring all components meet quality standards.
Perform basic measurements and calculations using mathematical skills to ensure precise fitting of parts.
Conduct routine inspections of welds and fabricated items for quality assurance.
Maintain a clean and organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.
Collaborate with team members to meet production deadlines and improve workflow efficiency.

Experience

Recent completion of a recognised welding qualification or apprenticeship programme.
Practical knowledge of MIG welding techniques.
Familiarity with various hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment.
Basic understanding of mechanical principles relevant to fabrication processes.
Ability to read technical drawings and interpret specifications accurately.
Competence in basic maths for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Prior experience in assembly or working within a manufacturing environment is advantageous but not essential; training will be provided for the right candidate.
