Service Receptionist Job Description

Are you a customer-focused professional looking for a new challenge in a friendly and supportive environment? Join our team in Somercotes near Alfreton in Derbyshire and become part of our ever-growing family-run businesses.

Hours: Monday to Friday 8:30 am – 5:30 pm and Saturday 8:30 am – 1:00pm (working every other Saturday)

What You’ll Do:

As a Customer Service Advisor, you’ll be the welcoming face of our garage reception, assisting the branch manager with:

Customer Service

Greet customers professionally and courteously on arrival
Handle customer enquiries face-to-face and over the telephone
Provide clear information regarding services, repairs, pricing, and timescales

Calls & Administration

Answer incoming calls and make outgoing calls to customers
Book vehicles in for servicing, repairs, and inspections
Update customer records accurately
Take messages and pass information to relevant staff

Pricing & Sales

Prepare and explain quotes for vehicle repairs and services
Upsell relevant products or services where appropriate
Take payments and issue invoices or receipts

Previous automotive experience is beneficial but not essential – we value a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Excellent communication, both in-person and by phone
The ability to remain calm, friendly, and helpful under pressure
