About the Role
Colchester City Pharmacy is seeking a dedicated, professional, and patient-focused Full-Time Pharmacist to join our team on a permanent basis. Located centrally at Priory Walk, we pride ourselves on delivering exceptional healthcare advice and clinical services to the local Colchester community.
This role offers an excellent, stable daytime schedule with no late evening shifts, making it ideal for a pharmacist looking for a fantastic work-life balance within a vibrant city pharmacy.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure the safe, accurate, and efficient dispensing and clinical checking of prescriptions.
- Lead, support, and develop the dispensary team to maintain high operational standards and morale.
- Provide essential, advanced, and enhanced clinical services (such as NMS, Pharmacy First, and vaccinations).
- Offer professional clinical consultations and expert over-the-counter medication advice to patients.
- Ensure full compliance with GPhC regulations, NHS contracts, and pharmacy Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Maintain strong professional relationships with local GP surgeries and healthcare professionals.
Requirements
- Must be a GPhC Registered Pharmacist (open to both experienced pharmacists and newly qualified individuals).
- Strong communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for delivering outstanding patient care and clinical services.
- Accredited to deliver key clinical services (e.g., Pharmacy First, flu vaccinations) or enthusiastic about completing training.
- Right to work in the UK.
- Ability to start ASAP is highly preferred.
