Full job description

We are seeking a motivated and reliable Labourer to join our team building sports courts and pitches. The successful candidate will be involved in various outdoor and construction-related tasks Including;

Site Preparation: Clearing, excavating, and preparing ground surfaces for new builds or refurbishments.

Installation: Laying sub-bases, installing edgings and laying tarmac for various sports.

Fencing & Infrastructure: Erecting perimeter fencing.

Drainage: Installing efficient drainage systems to ensure long-term court durability.

As well as general site upkeep.

This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills across multiple disciplines.

The ideal candidate should have

Mechanical knowledge or experience with power tools and hand tools is advantageous
Familiarity with operating excavators or other construction machinery is a plus
Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and lift heavy objects safely
Good organisational skills and a proactive attitude towards safety and teamwork
A positive can-do attitude

A CSCS card and Driving Licence are preferred but not essential.

You must live in Colchester for daily pick up and drop off.

Early starts and occasional working away from home during the week.
