About us

Abbey Field Pharmacy is an independent community pharmacy and part of the Wellbeing Pharmacies Group. We're committed to delivering high-quality healthcare to our local community, with a genuine focus on patient wellbeing and outstanding customer service. We aim to be at the forefront of the changing role that community pharmacy plays in the healthcare system.

The role

We're looking for a registered Pharmacy Technician to join and help lead our experienced team on a full-time or part-time basis.

This is a clinical-facing role for someone who wants to grow beyond the dispensary. You'll work directly alongside our Superintendent IP Pharmacist and pharmacy manager, getting hands-on with the clinical services that set us apart: Pharmacy First, weight management, travel vaccinations, and ear wax removal among them. Full training is provided.

Ideally the role suits a qualified Accredited Checking Technicianbut we are also happy to support training to qualify as an ACT .

If you're a qualified technician looking to develop your clinical skills and take on more responsibility, we'd love to hear from you.

What you'll do

Support the pharmacy manager in delivering excellent patient care and customer service, helping the pharmacy continue to grow
Support delivery of Pharmacy First consultations and our private clinical services, including weight management, travel vaccinations, and ear wax removal
Process prescription items safely and accurately in line with our standard operating procedures
Ensure the safe and correct supply of dispensed items at the point of handout
Advise patients on over-the-counter medicines and healthcare products
Work as part of a team to achieve our shared business objectives

About you

Registered with the GPhC as a Pharmacy Technician (essential)
Community pharmacy experience (essential)
Enthusiasm for clinical service delivery and developing your career
Open to qualifying as an Accredited Checking Technician in future (desirable, with full support provided)
Methodical, accurate, and able to maintain high concentration
Strong communicator with excellent customer service skills
Professional, tactful, and friendly
Trustworthy, with a clear understanding of patient confidentiality
Reliable, organised, and able to work to deadlines
A positive, can-do team player
IT literate
Fluent in written and spoken English
