Full job description

Care Home Based | Permanent | Night Shifts | £15.50ph

We are seeking an experienced and compassionate Senior Night Carers to join our dedicated care team. This is an excellent opportunity to take a leadership role during night shifts, ensuring residents receive safe, high-quality, person-centred care in a calm and supportive environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide direct care, promoting residents’ independence, dignity and wellbeing
Lead and support the night care team, acting as a role model for best practice
Administer medication in line with company policy (following competency-based training)
Monitor residents’ wellbeing throughout the night and accurately record observations
Respond promptly to call bells and emergencies
Support and review care plans, escalating concerns appropriately
Carry out spot checks, supervisions and ensure high standards of care are maintained

About You:

Minimum NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent)
Recognised medication administration qualification and experience
Previous experience in a senior carer/care assistant role
Strong leadership and communication skills
Compassionate, resilient and confident working independently at night
Basic IT literacy

Flexibility is required to work a variety of night shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
