Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Yard Worker to join our team in Luddendenfoot, near Halifax. In this role, you will play a crucial part in supporting our shop-fitting and maintenance projects, ensuring that our operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Responsibilities

Organising and maintaining a safe, clean, and efficient yard
Assisting with general yard duties and basic maintenance tasks
Loading and unloading materials, tools, and equipment
Delivering and collecting goods between sites, suppliers, and the yard
Collaborate with team members to ensure timely project completion
Support delivery drivers with logistics and routes
Supporting waste management and recycling procedures
Follow safety protocols and guidelines at all times
Report any equipment or safety issues to management
Basic Stock Control - Goods In/Out

Qualifications

Valid full manual driving license (clean preferred)
Previous experience in a yard, warehouse, or construction environment is an advantage (essential)
Physically fit, reliable, and able to work well as part of a team (essential)
Experience in driving and operating vehicles (essential)
Good communication skills for effective teamwork (essential)
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment (essential)
Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus (preferred)
Safety-conscious and committed to high standards of work (essential)
Experience using Excel Spreadsheets (preferred)
