Job Summary
We are seeking a talented and experienced Chef to lead our culinary team and deliver exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess strong leadership skills, extensive culinary expertise, and a passion for food presentation and safety. This role involves overseeing food preparation, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring high standards of quality and hygiene are maintained at all times.

Duties

Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu specifications and quality standards
Supervise kitchen staff, providing guidance, training, and support to ensure efficient workflow
Manage food production processes, ensuring timely delivery of dishes during service hours
Oversee food safety procedures, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene standards in compliance with health regulations
Assist in menu planning, ingredient sourcing, and inventory management
Monitor portion control and presentation to uphold the restaurant’s reputation for excellence
Collaborate with front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and customer satisfaction
Lead by example in maintaining a positive work environment and fostering team cohesion

Requirements

Proven experience in a culinary or restaurant environment, with demonstrated leadership capabilities
Strong background in food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen management
Supervising experience within a busy hospitality setting is highly desirable
Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in hygiene management
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Good communication skills to effectively lead a team and liaise with other departments
Previous experience in food production, hospitality, or serving roles is advantageous
Passion for culinary arts with a creative approach to menu development and presentation
