You will join a friendly and passionate team, playing a central role in delivering exciting family activities and games that help create memorable summer experiences for our visitors. Based primarily in our outdoor play field, you will welcome visitors, lead daily storytelling sessions, and support a range of craft activities. Through your enthusiasm and excellent customer service, you'll help ensure every visitor enjoys a fun, memorable, and safe experience.

Summer at Anglesey Abbey is a vibrant and energetic time. Anglesey Abbey welcomes over 50,000 visitors during the summer holidays, and you'll be a key member of the Visitor Experience Team, helping families make the most of their day out and creating lasting memories.

Salary: £13.25 per hour

Contract/duration: Fixed term contract until 30th August 2026

Hours/working pattern: You'll work 30 hours per week. This role operates on a 7-day rota, with shifts across 4 days per week, including a minimum of 4 weekends during the contract.

What it's like to work here:Reporting to our Senior Visitor Experience Officer, you’ll work with a team of passionate and creative staff and volunteers at Anglesey Abbey.

This Jacobean-style house with its colourful gardens and working watermill is one of our largest properties. What you'll be doing:You'll work across our Summer of Play programme - providing an enthusiastic and warm welcome, engaging with visitors in playful activities, collecting feedback, facilitating storytelling sessions, and ensuring our play spaces are maintained to the highest quality.

You 'll primarily be based outdoors on the play field and will be monitoring the event spaces, delivering storytelling sessions and supporting craft activities.

Understanding how and why we engage our supporters is key. You’ll help link everything we do back to our cause and the on-going work we do.

You’ll deliver high standards of presentation on site and ensure all our communications with our visitors around the property is clear and consistent.
