Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Master Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess advanced technical expertise, a strong understanding of mechanical systems, and excellent problem-solving abilities. This role offers the opportunity to work on complex equipment, perform maintenance and repairs, and deliver exceptional customer service. The position is paid and suitable for individuals committed to maintaining high standards of safety and quality in a fast-paced environment.

Duties

Interpret and work from detailed schematics and technical drawings to diagnose issues and plan repairs
Conduct comprehensive mechanical inspections and perform maintenance tasks on a variety of equipment
Utilise hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment to assemble, repair, or modify machinery
Perform precise equipment repairs, including troubleshooting electrical and mechanical faults
Carry out heavy lifting as required to move parts or machinery safely and efficiently
Execute routine preventative maintenance to ensure optimal operational performance
Assist with complex assembly projects, ensuring all components meet quality standards
Provide expert guidance and support to junior technicians and team members
Deliver exceptional customer service by communicating effectively with clients regarding repairs and maintenance needs

Skills

Extensive knowledge of schematics, technical manuals, and mechanical systems
Proficient in the use of hand tools, power tools, and welding equipment for various repair tasks
Strong understanding of machinery assembly, maintenance procedures, and equipment repair techniques
Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose issues accurately under pressure
Good physical strength for heavy lifting and manual handling tasks
Effective communication skills to liaise with clients and team members professionally
Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
Prior experience in equipment maintenance or repair is highly desirable
