Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Paver to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for laying and finishing paving surfaces, ensuring high-quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards. This role offers an excellent opportunity to develop practical skills in masonry and construction, contributing to a variety of outdoor projects including walkways, driveways, and patios.

Responsibilities

Prepare surfaces by clearing debris and ensuring a level foundation for paving work
Lay bricks, blocks, or stones accurately according to project specifications
Use hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and levels to position and secure paving materials
Operate power tools including compactors and saws safely and efficiently
Mix mortar or concrete as needed for bonding materials together
Assist with site preparation, including excavation and grading
Ensure all work complies with safety regulations and quality standards
Collaborate with team members to complete projects on time and within budget

Skills

Proficiency in using hand tools such as trowels, hammers, and levels
Experience in all Aspects of paving work
Ability to operate power tools safely and effectively
Strong attention to detail and organisational skills
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions
Good physical fitness with the ability to lift heavy materials and stand for extended periods

Pay: £15.00-£25.00 per hour
