We are seeking a motivated, organised, and enthusiastic Purchasing Apprentice to join our fast-growing team. Working alongside our experienced Procurement Specialists, you'll develop a strong understanding of purchasing processes, supplier management, stock control, and business systems while contributing to the smooth operation of our purchasing function.
About the Role
As a Purchasing Apprentice, you will support the Procurement Team in ensuring products are sourced efficiently, stock levels are maintained, and customer requirements are met. This role offers a fantastic opportunity to learn all aspects of purchasing and supply chain operations within a thriving business.
Your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Assisting Procurement Specialists with creating reports for ordering, stock management, and monitoring purposes.
- Carrying out purchasing-related system processes, including tracking stock in transit, receiving goods into stock, and processing supplier invoices.
- Liaising with the Sales Team regarding backorder enquiries, quotations, product pricing, and lead times.
- Assisting with product creation and maintenance within our MRP system, ensuring product information is accurate and up to date.
- Supporting the management of stock levels across multiple locations and arranging stock transfers where required.
- Maintaining accurate records and ensuring purchasing data is correctly recorded within company systems.
- Building effective working relationships with internal teams and suppliers.
- Supporting other members of the procurement team and assisting with additional tasks as required.

Terms & Conditions of Employment:
Working Hours: This is a full-time role based on a 40-hour working week. Standard hours are 8:30am to 5:30pm, Monday to Friday, with a one-hour lunch break.
