Full job description

Walcot Metal Fabrication is seeking an experienced and motivated Steel Fitter to join our expanding team. This is an exciting opportunity for a skilled professional who enjoys a varied role, taking ownership of multiple sites and ensuring projects are delivered safely, efficiently, and to a high standard. Previous experience is essential for this role.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee and coordinate work across several sites
Delegate tasks to team members and maintain project schedules
Carry out high-quality fabrication and installation work both in the workshop and on site
Ensure all health and safety procedures are followed at all times
Use initiative to resolve challenges and keep projects running smoothly

Essential Skills & Experience

Proven experience fitting steel structures, staircases, gates, and railings
Competency with hand tools and workshop equipment
Ability to confidently read and interpret engineering and construction drawings
Skilled in MIG and ARC welding
Strong fabrication abilities
Solid understanding of health and safety practices
Good problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and within a team
