Garment Technologist and Production Supervisor at Kinloch Anderson

This is both a strategic and hands on position, working days/hours Mon- Thur 7.30am-4.30pm and Fri 7.30am-12.30pm.
The Role:-
Comprehensive understanding of factory production line processes
Supervising the Production team including work allocation and scheduling.
Training of Production team.
Create and maintain detailed technical specifications, size charts, grading, and construction packs.
Ensure all products meet brand standards, quality expectations, and customer requirements.
Review fabrics, trims, prints, embellishments.
Identify and resolve garment construction, fitting, and quality issues throughout development.
Working with Head of Design on product and fabric development.
Identify and help solve potential development and/or production problems - including but not limited to pattern and construction issues.
In conjunction with Head of Production manage consistency across the Production Team continuously monitoring and elevating quality.
Assisting with manufacture to ensure deadlines are adhered to.
What you need:-
Deep knowledge of cloth, particularly wool, garment construction, measuring, and multi-product manufacturing.
Strong technical drawing and pattern-cutting skills are essential.
An excellent knowledge of constructing diagrams in Adobe Illustrator is essential as are general IT skills.
A proven history of making smart, prompt, and flexible commercial decisions under pressure.
An exceptional self-manager who builds strong, collaborative relationships with both Management and their team.
Have technical knowledge of fabric, following a design (or other relevant) degree to support this.
Have a flexible, can do approach.
Be enthusiastic and willing to learn new skills and techniques.
Have the ability to manage several tasks and projects simultaneously whilst prioritising workload.
Have excellent organisational skills with a high attention to detail.
Be a confident communicator that enjoys working with a variety of people.
