Full job description

Overview
We are seeking a motivated and organised Office Assistant to join our team in a busy recycling company. The ideal candidate will be proactive, detail-oriented, and proficient in various office software and communication tools. Previous office or clerical experience is preferred but not essential, as training will be provided. The role involves supporting daily operations, maintaining organised records, and ensuring smooth communication across departments.

Responsibilities

Answering phone calls with professional etiquette and directing inquiries appropriately
Managing incoming and outgoing correspondence, including emails and postal mail
Performing data entry tasks accurately using Microsoft Office.
Organising files, documents, and records to ensure easy retrieval and compliance with company standards
Assisting with scheduling appointments and maintaining calendars for team members
Supporting administrative tasks such as photocopying, scanning, and filing
Preparing reports, presentations, and other documents as required
Providing general clerical support to ensure efficient office operations

Requirements

Previous office experience or administrative background is advantageous but not mandatory
Strong computer skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Google Workspace (Gmail, Drive)
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks effectively
Good typing speed and accuracy for data entry purposes
Strong phone etiquette and communication skills
Demonstrated organisational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently
Attention to detail and a proactive approach to problem-solving
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team

Mon - Fri 7.30 am - 16.30 pm - 30 minute lunch

30 days leave p/a

Private healthcare available after 6 month trial period
