Job Summary
We are recruiting a 3rd Year Apprentice - Domestic Electrician to join our team. This position is a demanding role that offers valuable hands-on experience in residential electrical installations and maintenance, providing a stepping stone towards becoming a fully qualified electrician. The successful candidate will work under the supervision of experienced electricians, assisting with a variety of electrical tasks in domestic settings. This paid apprenticeship position is ideal for individuals committed to developing their skills and knowledge within the electrical trade.

Responsibilities

Assisting with the installation, maintenance, and repair of domestic electrical systems
Using hand tools and power tools safely and effectively under supervision
Reading and interpreting technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and instructions
Ensuring all work complies with current electrical safety standards and regulations
Supporting the team in testing electrical circuits and systems for safety and functionality
Maintaining a clean and organised work environment at all times
Learning to identify electrical faults and assisting in troubleshooting issues
Adhering to health and safety policies at all times during on-site work

Skills

NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent (City & Guilds)
Practical experience with hand tools such as screwdrivers, pliers, wire strippers, etc.
Familiarity with power tools used in electrical installations (e.g., drills, saws)
Basic electrical experience gained through previous training or employment
Ability to follow instructions accurately and work as part of a team
Good organisational skills with attention to detail
Strong commitment to health and safety procedures within a construction environment
Eagerness to learn and develop technical skills in domestic electrical work

Pay: £15.00 per hour
