Location: Aubrey Allen Limited, Unit 1 3040 Siskin Parkway East, Coventry, CV3 4AD

Hours: Full-time Night Shift 20:00 – 04:00
Salary: £35,800 - £38,000 per annum + discretionary monthly production bonus averaging £300 per month following successful completion of an initial 3-month qualifying period, giving potential earnings of approximately £39,400 - £41,600 per year.

About the Role:

We’re looking for an experienced Larder Chef Butcher with strong multi-species skills to join our fast-paced production team. You’ll play a key role in the preparation and portioning of meats (beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and game) to customer specification, supporting smooth flow from butchery through to picking and dispatch.

You’ll be working in a busy, well-equipped larder environment where attention to detail, speed, and consistency are essential. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on butchery, working with quality products, and being part of a focused, supportive team.

Key Responsibilities:

Break down, debone, trim, and portion beef, lamb, pork, poultry, and game.
Prepare bespoke cuts, including steaks, joints, and specialist items.
Maintain the highest hygiene standards and follow HACCP procedures.
Ensure accurate weighing, packing, and labelling of all products.
Collaborate with pickers and dispatch to ensure timely and correct order fulfilment.
Operate equipment including vacuum packers, slicers, bandsaws, and wrapping machines.
Maintain a clean, safe, and efficient workstation at all times.

What We Are Looking For:

Proven experience in butchery across multiple species (3+ years preferred).
Strong knife skills and excellent attention to detail.
Able to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining quality.
Good knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and allergen control.
A proactive team player who communicates clearly and supports others.
Reliable, organised, and disciplined in approach to work.

Monthly Production Bonus Scheme

Following successful completion of a 3-month qualifying period, employees may be eligible for our monthly production bonus scheme, which typically averages around £300 per month.

This could mean earning an additional £3,600 per year on top of your basic salary.

Bonus payments are assessed against:

Timekeeping
Attendance
Attitude
Productivity
Overall company profitability and performance

Potential Earnings Example

If your salary is:

£35,800 per annum, your potential earnings could be approximately £39,400 per annum including an average monthly production bonus.
£38,000 per annum, your potential earnings could be approximately £41,600 per annum including an average monthly production bonus.

That's equivalent to approximately:

£3,283 per month at £35,800 basic salary plus average bonus.
£3,467 per month at £38,000 basic salary plus average bonus.

Important Information

The production bonus is discretionary, non-contractual and may vary from month to month. Bonus payments are dependent upon individual performance, attendance, timekeeping, attitude, productivity, company profitability and the achievement of business objectives.

Profit share bonus paid after three years continuous service.
