Position: Gatehouse Administrator
Location: Coventry
Shift patterns: Any 5 from 7 (predominantly Monday-Friday). Night shift: 22:00-06:00
Contract Type: Permanent (Full-Time)

Are you highly organised, customer-focused, and looking for a role at the heart of a busy logistics operation? We are seeking a Gatehouse Administrator to join our team in Coventry, where you will be the first point of contact for drivers, visitors, and colleagues entering our site. This is a fast-paced position that plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth, safe, and efficient flow of vehicles and people across the operation. If you thrive in a dynamic environment, have strong administrative skills, and enjoy delivering excellent customer service, we'd love to hear from you.

✅A TYPICAL DAY MAY INVOLVE

To provide an efficient and professional gatehouse service controlling all vehicle, visitor and contractor movements
Ensure all arrivals and departures are processed accurately in line with customer, security, health & safety and operational procedures while maintaining accurate records and supporting warehouse and transport operations
Liaising with site to provide a smooth and accurate facilitation of all deliveries to the correct location and contract
Liaise with warehouse and transport operations to coordinate vehicle flow
Verify driver identification and booking information
Escalate security concerns and operational issues promptly
Assist with investigation of vehicle delays, missed bookings or site incidents
Produce daily, weekly and ad hoc reports as required

✅THIS ROLE WOULD SUIT PEOPLE WHO

Previous Administrative experience within a Transport/Warehousing environment is essential
Previously worked within a security environment would be advantageous
High level of customer service
Excellent communication skills - Verbal and written
Organised and strong attention to detail
Strong IT system skills required (Microsoft systems, Excel)
Able to work in a busy, pressured and siloed environment, with limited supervision
