Overview

We are seeking a dedicated Window Fitter/Labourer to join our construction team. This role involves assisting with the installation and fitting of windows, as well as supporting various construction tasks on-site. The position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a keen interest in building trades and a willingness to learn new skills in a dynamic environment. The successful candidate will be paid for their work and will be integral to delivering high-quality projects for our clients.

Duties

Assist with the measurement, preparation, and installation of windows in residential and commercial properties
Support the team with general labouring tasks including lifting, manoeuvring, and positioning materials
Use hand tools and power tools safely and efficiently during installation processes
Prepare work areas by cleaning, clearing debris, and setting up scaffolding or safety barriers as required
Follow schematics and technical drawings to ensure accurate fitting of window units
Support other trades such as roofing, plastering, masonry, or carpentry when needed
Maintain health and safety standards at all times during site operations
Assist with site organisation, including material delivery and storage

Requirements

Previous experience in construction or building trades is essential
Knowledge of hand tools, power tools, and basic construction techniques is desirable
Familiarity with roofing would be beneficial but is not mandatory
Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions and lift heavy materials safely
Good organisational skills with an eye for detail
Willingness to learn new skills across different trades within the construction industry
Must be physically fit and able to perform manual labour for extended periods

Pay: £15.00-£26.00 per hour
