Location: Southampton

Hours: 30 hours per week on a 3-week rolling rota (Overtime Avaliable)

What You'll Be Doing

As a Support Worker, you'll play an important role in helping young people prepare for independent adulthood.

Your responsibilities will include:

Delivering structured one-to-one key work sessions focused on agreed outcomes and individual goals
Developing and reviewing person-centred support plans
Encouraging independence and teaching essential life skills
Supporting engagement with education, employment, apprenticeships, and training
Promoting positive wellbeing, healthy relationships, and social inclusion
Supporting with budgeting, meal planning, cooking, shopping, and maintaining a safe, clean home
Completing accurate daily records, incident reports, and key work documentation
Working collaboratively with colleagues and partner agencies to achieve positive outcomes
Participating in weekends and contracted sleep-ins as part of the rota

Please note: This role does not involve personal care.

What We're Looking ForEssential

Minimum 1 year's experience working with vulnerable young people
Right to work in the UK
Good communication, literacy, numeracy, and basic IT skills
Willingness to complete mandatory training and an enhanced DBS check
Ability to provide two professional references and one character reference

Desirable

Full UK driving licence
Access to your own vehicle with business insurance

Pay

£13.00 per hour
£75.00 per sleep-in
Annual Salary: £27,480.00 (includes contracted sleep-ins)

Rota Pattern

Week 1: 2 sleep-ins
Week 2: 2 sleep-ins
Week 3: 2 sleep-ins

Shift Pattern

Long day shifts from 8:00am–11:00pm, followed by a sleep-in where required (11:00pm–8:00am). Rotas include weekends and are planned over a rolling three-week cycle.
