Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Kitchen Assistant to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the kitchen operations, ensuring that food preparation runs smoothly and efficiently. Duties
- Assist in the preparation of meals and ingredients under the guidance of chefs or cooks.
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including washing dishes, cleaning surfaces, and disposing of waste appropriately.
- Help with food safety practices by ensuring all food items are stored correctly and within safety guidelines.
- Support catering operations by preparing platters, salads, and other menu items as required.
- Operate kitchen equipment safely and effectively, adhering to all health and safety regulations.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely service during busy periods.
- Assist in inventory management by checking stock levels and reporting shortages to senior staff.

Skills
- Basic knowledge of culinary techniques and food preparation methods.
- Familiarity with catering practices is advantageous but not essential.
- Understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices.
- Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong organisational skills with attention to detail.
