Full job description

Job Summary

Join our healthcare team as a Medical Receptionist. In this vital role, you will be the first point of contact for patients and visitors, ensuring smooth operations at the front desk. Your organizational skills will help create a warm, efficient environment that supports both patient care and clinic workflow. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your administrative expertise within a medical setting.

Duties

Greet patients and visitors with enthusiasm, providing a friendly and professional first impression
Manage appointment scheduling, confirmations, and cancellations accurately using clinic software
Answer incoming phone calls promptly, directing inquiries to appropriate staff or departments
Verify patient information, and update records with precision
Handle check-in and check-out procedures efficiently while maintaining confidentiality
Maintain organized filing systems for patient records, forms, and correspondence
Assist with administrative tasks such as data entry
Proven office experience with strong organizational abilities
GCSE Maths and English essential
Previous administrative experience in a healthcare or medical setting is highly desirable
Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members
Ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and confidentiality
Friendly demeanor combined with professionalism and a positive attitude
Ability to handle sensitive information discreetly and uphold patient confidentiality

Pay: From £12.71 per hour
