Job Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Deputy Nursery Manager to join our vibrant early childhood education team. In this dynamic role, you will support the Nursery Manager in overseeing daily operations, ensuring a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children. Your leadership will inspire staff, foster positive relationships with families, and uphold high standards of childcare and early education. This is an exciting opportunity for someone with management experience and a genuine love for working with children to make a meaningful difference in young lives.

Responsibilities

Assist the Nursery Manager in coordinating daily nursery activities, ensuring smooth operations and adherence to policies.
Support the supervision and development of nursery staff, promoting teamwork, professional growth, and high-quality childcare practices.
Contribute to creating engaging, age-appropriate learning experiences that support children’s developmental milestones.
Maintain strong communication with parents and families, providing updates on children’s progress and addressing any concerns promptly.
Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations, safeguarding policies, and early childhood education standards.
Help organise staff schedules, oversee routines, and ensure resources are effectively utilised.
Participate in ongoing training and professional development to stay current with best practices in early childhood education.

Skills

Proven management and leadership skills within a childcare or nursery setting.
Extensive experience working directly with children in early childhood environments.
Strong understanding of childcare principles, early childhood education frameworks, and safeguarding procedures.
Excellent communication skills in English, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and team members.
Ability to motivate staff, foster teamwork, and lead by example under pressure.
Valid driving license is preferred for transportation needs or outreach activities.
Passionate about creating a safe, inclusive, and stimulating environment that promotes children’s growth and development.
Minimum Level 3 in Early Years Qualification Required
Driving license is preferred but not essential
An enhanced DBS check will be completed prior to starting at the Nursery

Pay: £27,000.00-£37,000.00 per year
