Full job description

Job Role

We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly organised administrator to join our fast-paced reception team.

Main duties of the job

Process incoming correspondence from hospitals, community services, and other healthcare providers, ensuring patient records remain up to date and clinicians are well informed.
Handle prescription requests, and other administrative queries while maintaining strict confidentiality.
Work collaboratively as part of a team to support the overall smooth running of the practice.
Demonstrate excellent communication skills, dealing with urgent situations calmly and effectively.
Support a fast-paced reception desk, scheduling appointments and handling high volumes of patient enquiries efficiently and professionally.

This role is ideal for someone with strong communication skills, demonstrable IT ability, and the capability to multitask effectively in a busy healthcare environment.

Additionally, you will need to learn, retain and accurately share complex information regarding services, procedures, and patient pathways whilst maintaining a clear patient-focus.
