Full job description

Job Title: Part-Time Operations Support Assistant

Hours: 28 hours per week (Mon–Thu: 9:00 AM – 3:00 PM | Fri: 8:30 AM – 12:30 PM)

Salary: Competitive (negotiable based on experience) + Bonus scheme

Reporting To: Head of Administration

Start Date: Immediate start

Are you an organized, tech-savvy administrative professional looking for a dynamic role in a growing business? We are a busy cable manufacturing business seeking a dedicated Operations Support Assistant to join our close-knit team and help drive the smooth operation of our shipping department.

Key Responsibilities

Enter sales orders accurately into manufacturing systems and process customer invoices.
Monitor order statuses in the workshop and provide prompt, professional updates to customers.
Support shipping and logistics duties, including consignment tracking and delivery coordination.
Enter inventory into manufacturing software and assist with stock replenishment across designated locations.
Perform a broad range of general administrative tasks to support overall company operations and adhere to company policies.

Essential Criteria

Experience: Minimum 2 years of previous experience in a similar administrative, operations, or logistics-support role.
IT Skills: High proficiency with computers and software systems, with the ability to learn new tools quickly.
Customer Service: Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with clients, team members, and workshop staff.
Organization: Excellent multitasking and prioritization skills, capable of staying focused under pressure.
Mindset & Reliability: A positive, proactive attitude, strong work ethic, and a proven track record of excellent attendance and punctuality.
Working Style: Equally capable of working independently and collaboratively within a small team environment.
