Full job description

Job Overview
We have an opportunity for a skilled CNC Turner to join our team at our well-established precision engineering company in Waterlooville.

The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 5 years' experience in setting and programming FANUC controls.

Attractive rate of pay and overtime rate. 40 hrs per week and early finish on Fridays at 13:30.

Responsibilities and skills

CNC Turner/Programmer/ Setter

Program and Set FANUC Controlled Lathes to produce high quality precision parts according to specifications and engineering drawings, ensuring on-time delivery of products while maintaining high levels of efficiency.
Conduct quality checks using precision measuring instruments and gauges.
Complete inspection records and interpret tooling sheets.
Ensure adherence to quality standards and implement corrective actions when necessary.
Ensure adherence to health and safety and maintain a clean and organised workspace.
Troubleshoot and resolve machining issues efficiently.
Monitor and maintain machine performance and report any maintenance requirements.
A commitment to quality and efficiency.

Experience

Proven experience as a CNC Turner, ideally 5+ years experience.
Must have experience with working to tight tolerances.
Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is highly desirable.
A commitment to continuous improvement and quality assurance in all aspects of work is expected.
A strong understanding of machining principles and techniques.

Pay

Attractive pay and overtime rate.

Working Hours

40 hours per week.
Monday to Thursday 07:30 - 16:30 and Fridays 07:30-13:30.
Overtime available at an attractive rate
Contractual sick pay
22 days holiday per year plus Bank Holidays
Christmas shutdown
