Full job description

T&G Automotive is a manufacturer of pressure vessels for use on vehicle braking and suspension systems.

We are currently looking to recruit personnel in the following area;-

Production Operative - Welding Robot Cell, The successful applicant will be part of a team of 2 operators working on 1 cell, you will be positioning component parts onto jigs and securing them by means of both Manual and Pneumatic clamping systems ready to be welded. As the parts move into the welding area of the cell you will be removing and visually checking the previously welded parts for any missing welds or imperfections, then repeating the above to maintain a continuous working process. You will be given full training in the operation and working procedures of specific jigs and processes. A flexible approach to work is essential as over a period of time you may be selected to train on other machines / processes to meet the needs of the business.

As an employee of T&G Automotive your standard working week will be 39 hours based on single shift working as follows;- Monday - Thursday 06:00-14:30, Friday 06:00 - 13:30. (Weekly wage = £575.26 per week inclusive of attendance and shift allowances).

Current shift working week is 48 hours as follows;- Monday to Thursday 06:00 - 18:00, the hours that are worked over the basic 39 hours are payable at overtime rate. Friday is not worked. (Weekly wage = £758.40 per week inclusive of attendance, shift allowances and overtime)

The current 48 hour working week is a temporary shift and will revert to the 39 hour standard working week in due course.
