General Assistant – Full-Time, Onsite Role at Chuckling Goat

Are you passionate about natural health, fermentation, and hands-on work? Join us at Chuckling Goat as a General Assistant, where you'll be at the heart of our handcrafted kefir-making process on our family-run goat farm overlooking the stunning Irish Sea.

The Role

This full-time, permanent role is perfect for someone who is excited about the art of kefir production. You'll be responsible for:

Making, tending, and bottling our live kefir
Maintaining strict hygiene and fermentation standards
Working as part of a small, supportive production team
Supporting other tasks across the business as needed (e.g. packaging, barn duties, soap making tasks)

This is a physical, hands-on job in a fast-paced friendly environment. No previous kefir experience required - we’ll train the right person with a great attitude and a willingness to learn.

What We’re Looking For

A reliable, hardworking individual who cares about quality and detail
Genuine interest in gut health, fermentation, or natural products
Happy to work with your hands and follow consistent daily routines
Flexible and willing to help across departments when needed
Holds a full UK driver’s licence and has their own transport
Comfortable with rural, on-site work (postcode: SA44 6DS)
Non-smoker (our farm is 100% smoke-free)

Details

Salary: £26,227.50 per year
Hours: Mon–Fri, 8am–4pm (37.5 hours/week)
Occasional weekend work (time-and-a-half pay)
Type: Full-time, PAYE, permanent
