Full job description

Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Server to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional guest services in a fast-paced environment. You will assist with food and beverage service, ensuring that all guests have a memorable dining experience. A strong understanding of culinary practices and food safety is essential, as well as the ability to upsell menu items effectively.

Duties

Greet and seat guests in a friendly and welcoming manner.
Take accurate food and drink orders using basic maths skills to ensure correct billing.
Serve food and beverages promptly while ensuring adherence to food safety standards.
Assist with food preparation in the kitchen when necessary, maintaining high standards of cleanliness and organisation.
Provide recommendations on menu items to enhance guest satisfaction through effective upselling techniques.
Handle guest inquiries and concerns with professionalism, ensuring a positive dining experience.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control of dishes served.
Maintain an organised work area, adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Previous experience in a hospitality or guest services role for at least 3 years is required.
Knowledge of culinary practices and food safety regulations is advantageous.
Strong time management skills to efficiently handle multiple tables and tasks simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills, with the ability to engage positively with guests and team members alike.
A passion for providing outstanding customer service in a dynamic environment is essential.
