Job Overview
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead the kitchen is our busy garden centre restaurant. This is a fantastic opportunity for a talented chef looking to achieve a genuine work-life balance while continuing to deliver high-quality food in a daytime hospitality environment. This position offers daytime shifts between 8-4, and alternate weekends, allowing you to enjoy more time with family, friends and personal interests.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead, motivate and develop the kitchen team.
Create and deliver menus that reflect customer expectations and commercial objectives.
Maintain consistently high standards of food quality, presentation and service.
Manage stock control, ordering and supplier relationships.
Monitor food costs, wastage, and kitchen budgets.
Ensure full compliance with food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations.
Train and support kitchen staff.
Work closely with the restaurant management team to drive sales and customer satisfaction.

Requirements:

Proven experience working as a head chef or senior sous chef
Strong leadership and team management skills.
Passionate about producing quality food.
Excellent organisational and planning abilities.
Experience managing kitchen finances, food costs and stock control.
