Consultant Paediatrician – Private Practice Opportunity

The Blackheath Clinic | Blackheath, South East London

Build Your Private Paediatric Practice with Us

The Blackheath Clinic is a growing doctor-led private medical clinic in the heart of Blackheath Village. We are seeking a Consultant Paediatrician to join us and help develop a high-quality private paediatric service for local families.

This is an excellent opportunity for a consultant looking to expand their private practice within an established clinic with a strong local reputation, existing patient base, and significant opportunities for growth.

About the Opportunity

We already provide private GP services, pregnancy ultrasound services and a range of healthcare services to a large population of young families across Blackheath, Greenwich, Lewisham and the surrounding areas.

We believe there is significant unmet demand for timely access to private paediatric care and are looking for a consultant who would like to develop and grow a private practice with our support.

The clinic provides:

Modern consulting facilities in Blackheath Village
Reception and administrative support
Appointment booking and patient management systems
Billing and operational support
Established website and digital marketing presence
Existing referral pathways from private GP services
Referrals from our pregnancy and baby scanning services
Access to blood testing and diagnostic pathways
Ongoing marketing and business development support

Candidate Requirements

Applicants should:

Be on the GMC Specialist Register in Paediatrics
Hold a current licence to practise
Have appropriate medical indemnity cover
Be recognised, or eligible for recognition, with major private medical insurers (e.g. Bupa, AXA Health, Aviva, Vitality)
Have excellent communication and patient-centred care skills
Be interested in developing and growing a private practice

Session Availability

We are initially looking to establish one clinic session per week, with the expectation that this may increase as demand grows.

Flexible arrangements are available and can be discussed with the successful candidate.

Remuneration

Competitive fee-share arrangement available.

We are particularly interested in speaking with consultants who are looking for a long-term partnership opportunity rather than simply room rental.

The Blackheath Clinic is located in the centre of Blackheath Village, serving patients from:

Blackheath
Greenwich
Lewisham
Bromley
Eltham
Bexley
South East London
