We provide Supported Living and Floating Support services for adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, physical disabilities, and complex support needs.

We are looking for an experienced, compassionate, and motivated Team Leader / Deputy Manager to support the day-to-day management of our Supported Living and Floating Support services across Bristol.

Working alongside the Registered Manager, you will lead and support a dedicated team to deliver safe, high-quality, person-centred care while promoting continuous improvement and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

Leadership & Management

Support the Registered Manager with the day-to-day operation of the service.
Lead, motivate, supervise, and develop a team of Support Workers.
Foster a positive, inclusive culture that promotes dignity, independence, and respect.
Participate in the on-call rota and provide management support when required.
Assist with recruitment, induction, supervision, training, and performance management.

Service Delivery

Ensure high-quality, person-centred support is delivered in line with individual support plans.
Support individuals to develop life skills, maintain tenancies, access education, employment, and participate in their local communities.
Monitor service quality and ensure compliance with CQC regulations, safeguarding requirements, and company policies.
Carry out audits, observations, and quality assurance checks to maintain high standards.

Care Planning & Compliance

Support the assessment, review, and development of person-centred support plans and risk assessments.
Ensure accurate, timely, and compliant record keeping.
Oversee safe medication practices and compliance with medication policies.
Ensure safeguarding concerns are recognised, reported, and managed appropriately.

Staff Development

Conduct regular supervision sessions and competency assessments.
Identify training needs and support staff development.
Encourage reflective practice and continuous improvement.

Partnership Working

Develop positive working relationships with the people we support, families, commissioners, social workers, healthcare professionals, and other partner agencies.
Attend reviews, meetings, and professional forums as required.

Essential Requirements

Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (or equivalent).
Working towards, or willing to complete, a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management.
Experience within Supported Living, Floating Support, or Adult Social Care.
Previous experience supervising or leading a team.
Good understanding of CQC regulations, safeguarding, the Mental Capacity Act, and person-centred practice.
Excellent communication, organisational, and leadership skills.
Right to work in the UK.
Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle (preferred).

Desirable

Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Health & Social Care.
Experience supporting adults with learning disabilities, autism, mental health needs, or complex behaviours.
Experience in quality assurance, audits, and service development.
