Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Counter Assistant to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our customers, providing exceptional service while assisting with food preparation and maintaining a clean and organised environment. Your ability to manage time effectively and your knowledge of food safety will be essential in ensuring a positive experience for our patrons.

Responsibilities

Greet customers warmly and take their orders accurately.
Prepare food items according to established recipes and standards.
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the counter area and kitchen.
Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and hygiene standards.
Assist in upselling menu items to enhance customer satisfaction.
Handle cash transactions and perform basic math calculations for payments.
Collaborate with kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control.
Manage inventory levels of food supplies and report shortages as necessary.

Requirements

Previous restaurant or kitchen experience is highly desirable.
Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary skills is an advantage.
Familiarity with food safety practices is essential.
Strong time management skills to handle busy periods efficiently.
Basic math skills for processing transactions accurately.
Excellent communication skills with a friendly disposition towards customers.
Ability to work effectively as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
