HR Administrator - Business Support (CTPSE and SEROCU)

Rank/Grade - TVP Broad Band 2E

Salary - £27,449 per annum

Part/Full Time - Full Time - All roles are available for flexible working including job sharing and part-time unless there are legitimate operational / business reasons why this cannot be accommodated

Make a Difference Behind the Scenes

Are you an organised, proactive administrator with excellent people skills? Do you enjoy working in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same? If so, we'd love to hear from you.

We're looking for a Regional HR Administrator to join our HR and Recruitment Team, providing essential HR and recruitment support across Counter Terrorism Policing South East. This is a rewarding opportunity to play a key role in attracting, onboarding and supporting the people who help keep our communities safe.

What You'll Be Doing

As the first point of contact for a wide range of HR and recruitment enquiries, you'll:

Manage and support recruitment campaigns for police staff and police officer roles.
Create and publish job adverts, arrange interviews and communicate with candidates throughout the recruitment process.
Guide applicants and hiring managers through onboarding, vetting and pre-employment checks.
Provide professional HR administrative support across the employee lifecycle, including starters, movers, leavers, retirements and employee relations matters.
Maintain accurate HR records and systems, ensuring confidentiality and data integrity at all times.
Support recruitment events, projects and initiatives that help attract and retain talented people.
Build positive working relationships with colleagues, managers and applicants across the South East region.

This is a varied role where you'll manage multiple priorities, support large-scale recruitment activity, and contribute to continuous improvements within the HR and Recruitment Team.

What We're Looking For

We're keen to hear from candidates who have:

Strong administrative experience with excellent attention to detail.
Proven organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the confidence to engage with people at all levels.
Experience using Microsoft Office applications, particularly Word, Excel and Outlook.
The ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalism.
A collaborative approach, whilst also being comfortable working independently.

A background in HR, recruitment or a related field would be advantageous, but is not essential.

Due to the nature of our work, security is of paramount importance to us and therefore it will be necessary to pass and maintain vetting level SC together with a number of enhanced security checks. In order to achieve this, you must be a British National and have resided in the UK for the past five years. Exemptions may apply for overseas or other diplomatic service (with HM Government), and studying abroad. Please be aware that if successful there are limitations on travelling to a small number of countries once in post.
