Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Welder/Fabricator to join our manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for executing precise welding and fabrication tasks, contributing to the creation and assembly of high-quality metal components. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a strong mechanical aptitude and experience in various welding techniques, particularly TIG and MIG welding. The position requires a keen eye for detail, safety consciousness, and the ability to work effectively within a team environment.

Duties

Perform TIG, MIG welding and other welding techniques on various materials, including sheet metal and structural components.
Fabricate metal parts and assemblies according to technical drawings and specifications.
Use hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment to cut, shape, and assemble metal components.
Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics to ensure accurate fabrication.
Conduct quality checks on finished products to meet safety standards and client requirements.
Assist in the assembly of fabricated parts into larger structures or systems.
Maintain a clean and safe work environment by adhering to health and safety regulations at all times.

Experience

Proven experience in TIG, MIG welding, with a strong understanding of <LOCATION> welding standards.
Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and fabrication equipment used in metalworking.
Knowledge of sheet metal work and basic mechanical principles.
Ability to read technical drawings, blueprints, and schematics accurately.
Experience working with various materials such as steel, aluminium, or other metals is desirable.
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to fabrication tasks.
Prior experience in assembly processes is advantageous but not essential. This role is ideal for motivated individuals eager to develop their skills further within a dynamic manufacturing environment. Candidates should demonstrate a commitment to quality workmanship, safety awareness, and teamwork excellence.

Pay: £12.50-£13.00 per hour
