Full job description

To assist in the co-ordination of swimming lessons at Charlton Park Academy, SE7 8HX. This is a varied post and will suit a well organised self-disciplined individual who can multitask. The candidate will have excellent communication skills as they will be dealing directly with customers.

This is a part time self employed role, positions available -

Saturdays 8.00am to 12.15pm.
Sundays 8.00am to 1.00pm
Sundays 1.00pm to 6.15pm
term time 40 weeks per year with extra weeks to be negotiated

Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities

This is a front of house role on reception and includes the below:

Open and lock up, set up at the beginning of the session & pack away after
Meeting and greeting parents, letting them into the building
Registers of attendees
Prepare and organise items required for new starters on first weeks of term
Ensuring a good flow of parents in and out of the pool so lessons run smoothly and on time
Working with teachers who are in the pool to ensure parents know what they are doing
Show new parents where to get changed and the new processes
Answer any questions parents may have
Mop changing rooms and communal areas in between lessons to ensure they are tidy & hazard free
Work to company risk assessments
Taking pool readings and logging them
Set up pop up tents and signage at the beginning of the session and pack away after
Prepare and organise items required for new starters i.e. nappies on first weeks of term

Candidates will need to show evidence of the following skills and personal qualities:

§ Team player

§ Excellent oral communication skills;

§ Excellent customer service skills both face to face and on the phone

§ Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: £10.00-£12.00 per hour
