Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled and passionate Line Chef to join our culinary team in Ayr. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of dishes in a fast-paced environment, ensuring high standards of food quality and safety. This role offers an excellent opportunity for individuals with a background in food preparation and culinary arts to develop their skills further within a professional kitchen setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare ingredients and cook dishes according to specified recipes and standards
Assist in meal preparation, ensuring timely delivery of orders during busy service periods
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area in compliance with food safety regulations
Monitor food quality and presentation before serving
Support other kitchen staff as needed to ensure smooth operation during shifts
Follow health and safety procedures diligently, including proper handling of food and equipment
Contribute to maintaining a positive and efficient work environment

Skills

Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a restaurant or similar setting
Strong understanding of food safety standards and hygiene practices
Excellent organisational skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure
Knowledge of meal preparation techniques and culinary practices
Good communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members
Previous restaurant experience or serving background is essential
Ability to adapt quickly to new recipes, procedures, and kitchen equipment
