About Craigie’s

Craigie’s is a family-run farm and visitor destination near Edinburgh, built around seasonal experiences, great food, and authentic countryside fun. The business comprises a working farm, farm shop & deli and a café situated in the beautiful countryside between Queensferry and Edinburgh.

What we are looking for

Duties

Assist in the preparation and baking of a variety of bakery products, including bread, pastries, and cakes
Support the food production process by measuring ingredients accurately and following recipes
Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen and workstations in accordance with food safety standards
Operate bakery equipment such as mixers, ovens, and proofers safely and efficiently
Ensure all baked goods meet quality standards before packaging or presentation
Help with inventory management by organising ingredients and supplies
Follow health and safety regulations diligently to ensure a safe working environment for all staff

Experience

Previous experience in food production, food preparation, or baking is desirable but not Essential
Knowledge of kitchen operations and culinary practices is beneficial
Experience working in a bakery, restaurant, or similar food service environment is preferred but not essential
Practical skills in cooking, baking, and food presentation will be advantageous

This role is perfect for individuals passionate about baking and eager to expand their culinary expertise within a supportive team.

Pay: Up to £12.71 per hour
