Jones Weatherproofing is a family-run specialist construction company with over 45 years of experience delivering market-leading roof weatherproofing systems and penetration services across the UK and overseas. We pride ourselves on quality workmanship and strong client relationships, contributing to a wide range of prestigious projects.

About the Role:
We are seeking a dedicated Site Fitter to support weatherproofing projects across the UK. You will work within a small site team led by a Team Leader, reporting to the Contracts Manager.

Construction experience is essential, however full training will be provided.

This role involves frequent overtime, travel and working away from home (accommodation provided, with working away allowances). Weekend work is optional and paid at enhanced rates.

Key Responsibilities:

Installation:

· Carry out weatherproofing installations (e.g. rooflights, vertical penetrations, service risers).

· Operate tools and equipment safely and efficiently.

· Assist with site preparation, clean-up.

· Maintain high installation standards.

Health & Safety Compliance:

· Follow all health and safety regulations including PPE, RAMS, and harness kit inspections.

· Ensure correct handling of materials in compliance with COSHH requirements.

· Complete site inductions and adhere to access requirements.

Teamwork & Communication:

· Work effectively with site supervisors and team members.

· Communicate site issues, variations or updates to the office team.

Driving Responsibilities:

· Safely drive company vans to transport materials, tools, and team members.

· Load and secure materials safely.

· Carry out basic vehicle checks (fuel, tyre pressure, lights) and report maintenance needs.

· Maintain a clean and organised vehicle at all times.

Requirements (Must-haves):

-Full UK manual driving licence

You will be required to share driving duties and must be insurable under the company's fleet insurance policy (automatic-only licences are not suitable)

-Valid CSCS card

-Ability to work at heights and in outdoor environments

-Strong work ethic and willingness to learn

-Flexibility to travel and stay away regularly

Hours of Work:

Working hours vary based on site location and project needs.
Expected weekly hours: 40–60
Flexibility is required to accommodate travel and job requirements.
Overtime applies after 40 hours per week and is paid at enhanced rates.
Weekend work is optional.

Pay & Overtime Rates:

Basic rate: £13.15 per hour
Overtime (paid after 40 hours per week): £17.48 per hour
Saturday: £19.72 per hour
Sunday: £26.30 per hour
Paid travel from home to site and back (excluding office commutes)
Attractive working away allowances
